Choosing an alarm to protect your home is a daunting prospect, especially when you start to search the net and see all the various options and different manufacturers of alarms on the market
When we started to design this website we could see the overwhelming options of alarms and how difficult it must be for the customer to decide what they actually wanted and how they would even know what they wanted.
There are so many Factors which need to be considered when choosing your alarm, below is a list of how Customers properties and requirements differ :
The list of requirements could go on and on, so if you need one of installers to explain anything or give you any advice don't hesitate to contact us via, email, phone, text or flag us down in the street, we are always here to help you.
Below we will try to give a basic summery of the alarm options, with a more detailed account of the alarm if you click on it.
This is the older (pre 2013) version of the basic alarm system which is controlled from a Keypad ,this alarm wont have some features that the more advanced alarms have, but for a basic on/off home alarm is perfect for Bungalows, small houses, Garages etc. All wireless, a mains supply is not even requires as it runs off batterys ( 2-3 years before they need changing) up to 20 extras can be added.(Door contacts, panic alarm, extra siren, Smoke alarm, extra keypad or PIR's)
The Kit 2 is the new 2013 Version of the Kit 1, which basically means it now uses the latest 868Mhz technology for a more secure alarm system, with rolling codes to virtually eliminate code copying anti jamming. This Alarm is completely standalone which makes it a niche product in the market. Up to 30 extras can be added (Door contacts, panic alarm, extra siren, Smoke alarm, extra keypad or PIR's)
Kit 3 is the Premium version of Kit 1 and it really is a large step up in features and Security. This telecommunicating panel peforms all the functions of Kit 1 with additional feature of alerting you by telephone should alarm be activated. The system can store up to 3 telephone numbers, such as your mobile, your Partners or works numbers and will call them in a specified sequence.
Its a step up in security as the control box is within the Keypad which is inside the house, where as the control box on kit 1 is in the siren outside the house, this adds an advantage as you can hide the control box in a cupboard upstairs and use an extra wireles keypad and place it downstairs. other advantages include :
The Kit 4 is the new 2013 Version of the Kit 2, which basically means it now uses the latest 868Mhz technology for a more secure alarm system, with rolling codes to virtually eliminate code copying anti jamming. In our opinion the best option of these 4 Kits.
SmartPhone Alarm System
The SmartPhone alarm is operated via an iPhone or Android SmartPhone, or via a standard PC web browser.
Most people are now accustomed used to using their smartphone to organise their affairs, improve their productivity and to generally make life easier. Whether you want to find your nearest Chinese restaurant, you’re having trouble sleeping, or you’re unable to get up from the couch and run 5k; we’re all used to hearing: “There’s an app for that!”
Now, you can use your phone to secure your home.
You can now remotely arm and disarm your home’s system via your smartphone, when used in conjunction with SmartPhone Alarm, as well as receiving images and Videos captured on the wall-mounted PIR devices, delivered seconds after the alarm is triggered.
Primarily alerting to intrusion via its external siren alarm, the system offers peace of mind while away from home, with the comfort of knowing you’ll be alerted if anything happens*.
With a range of accessories available – including the clever power switch accessory, allowing lights, appliances and other electrical items to be turned on and off using a smartphone – this system integrates your home alarm system with your mobile device, giving you convenience and
peace of mind in your pocket.
